most of the film was set in Hawaii, a sequence at the end had
Sandler's and Barrymore's characters on a boat in Alaska. Since
the actors were unavailable for the Alaska shoot, they were
photographed on a boat in Hawaii. The tropical background was
then replaced with plate photography filmed in Alaska, itself
augmented to increase the amount of snow on the mountains. Alaskan
icebergs were rotoed and tracked into the Hawaiian waters. |
