Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios present Part Two of the storyline launched with Avengers: Infinity War, with Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) joining the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy to fight the Mad Titan, Thanos (Josh Brolin). After helming the box office smash that was Avengers: Infinity War, Anthony and Joe Russo return as co-directors, ably assisted by production visual effects supervisor Dan DeLeeuw and visual effects crews at Industrial Light & Magic, Weta Digital, DNEG, Framestore, Digital Domain, Cinesite, and Lola VFX. Legacy Effects contributed character designs, and special effects supervisor Daniel Sudick orchestrated on-set mayhem.

Godzilla: King of Monsters
Warner Bros. and director Michael Dougherty deliver a mythological-style take on the Godzilla franchise, wherein the giant reptile faces off against other god-sized monsters, including Mothra, Rodan and the three-headed King Ghidorah. Vera Farmiga stars. Legacy Effects initiated creature designs, which were realized as computer animated characters by MPC, DNEG and Method Studios, working under the guidance of overall visual effects supervisor Guillaume Rocheron. Raynault VFX and Ollin VFX also made significant visual effects contributions.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix
20th Century Fox returns to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, where Jean Gray (Sophie Turner) struggles to control her powerful psionic abilities as a mysterious stranger (Jessica Chastain) turns her against rival mutant leaders, Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). Former X-Men screenwriter Simon Kinberg makes his directorial debut, joined by visual effects supervisor Phil Brennan, with MPC, Rising Sun Pictures, Scanline VFX, Rodeo FX, Soho VFX and MELS VFX, with special effects supervisor Cameron Waldbauer and makeup effects creators Adrien Morot FX and Legacy Effects.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment presents a live-action film — based on Nintendo's popular Pokémon online multi-person role-playing video game — about a young Pokémon trainer (Justice Smith) who teams with a hard-boiled detective (Ken Watanabe) to solve a mystery surrounding an underground virtual character fight club. Director Rob Letterman teamed with visual effects supervisor Erik Nordby and visual effects producer Greg Baxter to bring virtual creatures to life, with Ryan Reynolds infusing the performance of the perky yellow Pikachu, aided by artists at MPC, Framestore, Image Engine, Rodeo FX, Instinctual and Territory Studio.

Good Omens
In an effort to prevent the Apocalypse, the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) forms an unlikely alliance with the demon Crowley (David Tennant), in this Amazon Studios streaming series based on the best-selling comedy novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Douglas Mackinnon directs, with visual effects producer Alan Church, visual effects supervisor J.C. Deguara and Milk VFX serving up a suite of heavenly — and hellish — illusions. Molinaire VFX delivered 2D effects and monitor inserts, The Model Unit took charge of miniature effects, and makeup effects were handled by Matthew Smith.
